HEY EVERYONE! I was just thinking about the unusual way (at least for retail companies) BII accounts for the sale of goods below cost. I hope everyone realizes that if in fact BII didn't slide these losses over to the Marketing account that their Gross Margin would have been negative (if that's possible in accounting) I now wonder if the small GM improvement that they showed in the 4th quarter was related to accounting and not to merchandising. Does anyone have this answer??
