Dennis, there were a couple of new factoids in the article. Since you say it 'had its desired effect' I will assume you are one of the believers in this idiotic conspiracy theory that these folks have some sort of vendetta against Osicom.

You might find it an interesting exercise to go back to the posts on this thread on 7/1/98 and see what the shareholders were saying about this 'huge' contract at the time. Your revisionist minimization of the perceived importance of this contract is disingenuous at best. It is not the customer's fault that Osicom mislead investors. It is also disingenuous to focus solely on this particular release. This is a pattern of Osicom's, release pie in the sky estimates, and find later that it amounted to practically nothing. I am not sure how one can't look at the Gigamux sales releases with the same grain of salt. I find it likely that eventually we'll be hearing the apologies for why those sales never materialized, and folks pointing to the weasel wording at the bottom of the release saying you should have never paid attention to the projections in the top paragraph. Well, of course not paying attention to Osicom's pie in the sky is good advice.

Why haven't they sold the Far East division? Don't you think there is even a remote possibility that was more pie in the sky? When Par & Co were touting the sale of that division, they were claiming that they could get more than the market cap of the company at the time. Weren't there more than a few folks who thought that possible?

Again, you're focusing solely on this release. It is not this specific release that will make or break a case against Osicom. Discovery will provide a pattern of behavior, and I'm sure the company will settle after a time to avoid having to go through with it. Of course as an investor I really don't care about the lawsuits.

I will now leave you to stew about your idiotic conspiracy against poor little Osicom. Perhaps one day in the future you'll wake up to the reality that it's not the short sellers who are trying to take your money.
