Yea Jing, fixed pricing and regional auctions are two very promising developments in ebay's evolving business model, and exemplify how ebay management does seem to be stepping up to bat to identify and exploit emerging opportunities in the ecommerce space. Just as Amazon is shedding it's books-only image, so may ebay eventually shed it's online auction image by offering a wide variety of ecommerce options to consumers and businesses.
