I am worried about this market. However, I think the average small cap
stock saw its highs in Spring 1996, and has been in a bear market since, except for a nice late summer rally. So, it is less clear
what should be done if you own such a stock down 1/3 to 1/2 from
its high. If big stocks break, small ones will go down more, but I am not sure how much more - unless this will be like 1973-74, then lots more.

On QDEL, I also think stock would go up if quarter after this one were
perceived to be strong, based on early feedback on sales of HP test -
before the actual results were known. Otherwise, I think it is fairly
valued here, given current market conditions.
