If everyone still believes that Midland is worthless -- great, let it be. Having CBQI stock inside a shell, whatever its worth may or may not be, is still something more than worthless. But let us assume that CBQI goes to ZERO -- what have we lost if our assumption is that MIDL is worthless? Nothing.
NOW, let us assume that CBQI goes to and holds $12.00 a share -- a figure it reached recently. All of a sudden we have an asset worth nearly $16 million. What have we gained? EVERYTHING.
Even if the NASD/SEC never let MIDL trade again -- we shareholders will still own a piece of that $16 million in CBQI stock.
I believe our time would be much better spent digging around CBQI. If there is something to find in that company that is not known at this time -- methinks there are some folks around these here parts who can hunt up that information.
MIDL is indeed a dead issue -- FOR NOW.
Let us move on to a living breathing company called CBQI -- find out all that we can about it and if worthwhile -- support it. It can only help MIDL's cause if they have a large chunk of a successful company in their coffers.
ONE LAST THING.
I suggest that each of you call for your MIDLP certificates. DO NOT take no for an answer from your broker. They MUST give you good delivery of any security you purchase. Many, including myself have been slowly fighting this battle. The more who call and complain, the more seriously the "powers that be" will have to take the complaints. I do not know why we cannot get our MIDLP certs -- I am not implying anything -- I am merely suggesting you all spend the $25 and give it a shot. If you do not get good delivery the $25 fee will be refunded. If you do get the cert and you want to sell it -- drop me a line. I would be willing to pay quite a bit for it -- because I am confident that there is a snowball's chance in hell that you will lay your hands on one dated within the last 45 days.
Adios,
Eric
