Memex Electronics Corporate Background: www.memx.com

Memex Electronics Inc. is a Canadian high-tech company headquartered in Burlington, Ontario with a U.S. sales office in Brea, California.
Memex specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of high quality shop floor CNC communications and memory products.

On-going research efforts have helped Memex expand its unique CNC knowledge and capabilities in the areas of Fanuc control
optimization, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, shop floor networking software development, Ethernet machine tool connectivity, surface
mount circuit board design capabilities and electronic manufacturing expertise.

The current Memex product line-up includes:

the Memex HSL High Speed Loader/Remote Buffer (for Fanuc 6, 11 & 12 controls);
Multi-DNC (Direct Numerical Control) software;
Ethernet based DNC and machine tool monitoring systems;
the Memex HSL4 for Fanuc 6s & 11s (with Ethernet and PCMCIA ATA Flash capabilities);
the Mx1000 & Mx1100 BTR (Behind the Tape Reader Serial Interface) Boards;
Memex Fanuc 10 & 0 Memory Upgrade Kits;
Memex Fanuc 15 BASE-0 Memory Upgrades to 512k;
Memex Fanuc 16 & 18 Memory Upgrade Modules;
the Memex Memory Engine (MME) which replaces the Fanuc Bubble Memory Unit found in Fanuc Series 6, 9, 11 & 12 Controls - and
GMF Series RF robots;
the CNC Data Shuttle - a handy part program transport device;
the Mx2000 DNC Hand-Held Terminal;
Memex MX3/LX3 Yasnac Memory Upgrades to 1 meg;
the Memex Remote Monitoring Fanuc "DNC2+" Ethernet OCX Software Driver; the Fanuc OSI & FTP CNC Network Solutions;
and finally, the Memex Fanuc compatible ETA Open CNC Control

Lately, major research efforts have resulted in significant advances in Memex's leading edge MME and HSL technologies. A new NetCNC®
system facilitates higher through-put and less waste by enabling high speed background part program loading, and significant CNC
execution time reductions. Now Memex has the fastest link for G-Code part program file transfer to a Fanuc control. The goal of this new
technology, which will displace serial DNC ultimately, is a true multi-tasking high speed Ethernet TCP/IP network for every CNC shop floor.

Many sectors are represented in the Memex customer roster, including: Aerospace (Boeing, Messier-Dowty Aerospace, McDonnell
Douglas); Automotive (General Motors, Magna, Toyota); Industrial (Caterpillar, Champion Road Grader, Wabco); and Government
(National Research Council and The Royal Canadian Mint).

Memex has strategic alliances with Boeing (Canada), Wonderware (USA), CSE (Australia), Itochu Systech (Japan), ADR (USA), Cadent
(USA), Grapevine Networking (USA) and Spectrum CNC Technologies Inc. (USA). As well, Memex has a special supply arrangement with
Facit AB of Sweden and Facit K.K. of Japan. Memex has many installations and dealers through-out North America, Europe, Australia
and the Pacific Rim.
