The e-machines will give more consumers the opportunity to buy. The machines will show just how much assistance they can provide to a new users interests,,, from finance, to research, to games. At some point they will find service, quality or one of many things not to their liking and will have the means to find their next machine. After the first few will IMO remain with the low end box. The emachines will have little short term effect as these people were not about to purchase anything else. The mid and long term should see them coming to the "name brands" for service, quality, and more of what they are concerned with,, graphics, speed or ?? Also many of these super low end machines will be built in Asia but CPQ and others will are supplying some now..
