Anyone have a good remedy for sunburn?

Jane's suggestion for pure aloe is good. In fact, some cooks keep
an aloe plant in the kitchen for grease burns on theirs hands
or arms.

Lacking that, a remedy this quick-burning redhead has used
many times is tea bags. Dampen with just enough hot tap water
to make them swell up, but not so wet that they drip a lot.

Place them on the badly burned areas for a few minutes at a time.
Replace with unused ones after a while.

The tannic acid acts like a drawing salve, I guess, and can
reduce a lot of the pain and the swelling that tightens the skin
and makes it hurt worse.

Two warnings: the tea can stain your skin somewhat. Also
anything else it drips on, so use an old towel to protect
your clothes, bedding etc.

Those family size tea bags work well because they cover more space
at once and the tea is chopped finer.

The thing you should be worrying about is your actual eyes. Sounds
like you burned them, too. The fine top layer of tissue that covers
the whites and cornea <sp?> can peel and cause all sorts of
problems, if not just god-awful discomfort. You might want to
call an opthmologist ASAP. Maybe if they extend professional
courtesy, you could get a call back today.

I feel your pain<g>
