RR is a major factor why AT&T wanted UMG I suspect that we are all giving broadband internet too much weight in the minds of AT&T. Personally I think they are still in the world of trying to get as much access to customers for local telephone service. Broadband internet is just a fringe benefit. In addition if AT&T could buy UMG and divest it from RR that is still some form of victory. The odds were very good that TWX/UMG and Comcast were ready to go with RR. Thats significant critical mass. I think thats the goal, to slow the competition. If they get lucky and find they can keep their share of RR all the better. Eric
