My observations re Canada, are first hand and only that, observations. You have a beautiful country and many of your fellow citizens are my now my long time friends. My children have been all but raised here. But I cannot deny my observations. As a matter of fact, when I got here in 1992 (just after the passage of GST), there was a poll reported in the Vancouver Sun that asked Canadians from BC if they felt that they would ever petition the US for statehood (or wording of that kind). 55% said that would happen within 50 years. That sort of insecurity speaks volumes.
