Im told that watching movies is going to be apart of the net some day. Is Apple on the cutting edge?

There are three applications for watching video on the net right now: RealPlayer, Microsoft Media Player, and Apple's Quicktime. All three are available both on PC and Mac, so it's even, really.

You might be interested in the last 150 or so posts on this thread, a lot of which deal with video on the Mac and over the Net.
