This may be a silly question, but what are you trying to accomplish? To get in touch with him or to rejoin an old argument? When you reestablish contact and--I surmise--invite him to fence with you again, it is not fair to invite him just for the purpose of piling onto him for kicks. I acknowledge that he leaves fair fight to resort to sniper attacks--some of which are, I must admit, wonderfully amusing and clever, albeit a tendency toward the cheap shot. I am a libertarian as well. I have said so on this thread. Which does NOT imply that I have shut off my thinking processes--or my caring. It is so easy for us all to erect stereotypes built on deeper stereotypes & demolish straw men rather than deal with the real human beings and dilemmas. Climbing down from the soap box now and a bit embarrased. Meaning with all my heart every word I have typed.
