Agree with you a hundred times over. What a success story. I am so happy for you and your son. You are so right...a child who is being tormented in school has NO recourse, NO means of protection. I am not surprised the bullies' parents you dealt with did not care about the situation but the school's attitude strikes me as bizarre. I wonder whether you could have enforced the school system to pay for some or all of your home schooling costs, depending on the circumstances.

I'm glad we did <<homeschool our child>>, because our sweet, kind, loving child of 13 informed us, as we watched the horror of Littleton, that he had thought about taking a knife to school and stabbing the kids that were his tormentors. The only thing that stopped him was that he knew it would hurt us if he did something like that to anyone. Thank God, we had a connection to him!!!

And that connection as caring involved parents was clearly something the two killer-kids in CO most definitely did NOT have, nor any religious training or church community to fall back on either. Instead they found comfort in the teachings of Hilter. The concept sends chills up my spine.
