I grew up in Stuyvesant Town (just so. of Peter Cooper Village). Spent lots of time SRO at the Met and Carnegie Hall. I used to go to MOMA for cheap dates or wand down to Greenwich Village to look at the wierdos. What drove me nuts were the summers - hot and humid, and it never seemed to cool down.

I developed a love hate relationship with the place.
