Heh. That's an artful interpertation of the events, Shea. I think you may have a future in the Microsoft PR department. Well, I guess if I get a job offer any time soon then we'll know for certain how much impact SI comments have on MSFT personnel decisions, won't we. :-) Seriously, I really do see these events as positive. I think it's always a good thing when a company is reminded not to take its talent for granted. I also believe that the fact that MSFT has the ability to veto Maffei's move in the first place is a testament to their (Maffei's) smart deal-making. And now, MSFT has an opportunity, as tech as articulated, to demonstrate their ability to respond and keep their talent, with a big public kiss on the lips to Maffei in the form of a juicy plum position of his choosing.
