DO NOT USE SCWAB OPTION DATA:

Got an option chain for JNY (plan to go long tomorrow), just to see if there was any info for me in the volume data. To my surprise there was a report of 500 May 35 put contracts reported as having traded 4/23/99. I figured someone knew something that I didn't.

As it turns out this trade happened on 4/9/99. For historical data: financialweb.com It happened to be the last trade on this contract, so the last was correct, but, the 4/9/99 transaction volume was being reported as if it was current.

I looked up some other options and found the same thing. I did not try individual quotes, only chains.

Emailed Schwab tonight and I suppose that I will get an automated response within 48 hours. Told them to diable this data area.

I hope no one makes any decisions based on this info.
