Well, there are lots of companies need COMS's product to make themselves big.
Intel will need palm to make sure that the platform of next generation PDA< which now owns 60% to 80% of the PDA market, will not use AMD or NSM's chips, or it will be a nightmare to Intel.
Microsoft will need PALM to make sure that palm will use CE as its OS , or Microsoft may not succeed in the CE market, because, for now PALM has its own OS, which is not CE, and PALM owns 0% to 70% of the PD market ad is continuing growing.
IBM, CPQ, DELL, HWP ... etc, those box makers will need PALM to extend their business into the next generation PDA market which will be huge.
The Cell phone makers will need PALM to make sure that they have a big bite on the Cell Phone market where PALM will have the cell phone implemented.
The networking companies will need COMS to bite the home networking market.
The ISP will need PALM to make sure that all the palm users will access the internet through their service. PALM had more than 60% to 70% of the PDA market , and
most likely, pretty soon, people will access the internet through PALM anytime , anywhere, wirelessly. |
