Hey fellow Winnipegger

(1) WHAT exactly are you watching for in those portfolios you posted earlier?

Standard TA plus some fundamentals. I look for stocks that are likely to have a big move in the next couple of days based on the chart. These include stocks that are:

1. breaking out of a standard technical pattern with volume
(e.g..double tops/bottom, wedges/pennants, narrowing or expanding triangles at the top or bottom of a chart, etc., etc.)
2. approaching major support/resistance levels or major trend lines.

Once I find these stocks (5-15 a night) I will do some quick current DD (I already know the background of all of them) and some more in-depth technical analysis. The next morning I will put them all on the main ticker and already know what prices/volumes I am looking for.

(2) What rough percentage of these stocks are actually in your long-term portfolio plan?

Easy answer...none! I am almost always in cash and only have a couple of longer term holds that aren't on the list because they are not day trades.

I notice that the all are listed on the TSE.... and practically every symbol had a news release either 4/22 or 4/23 .... You must keep it quite current.

Almost all the stocks in the list are the big boys on the TSE which means that a lot of them get news every day. All of these stocks are listed in my CSW portfolio's. CSW emails me news as soon as it is released. I have my Email on automatic download (ever minute) so as soon as news is released my computer beeps me. Easy way to keep up on current news.

Best Regards
KEITH
