Dusty, Oh my God I can't believe you just said that...you are such a liar! You really expect people to believe you never hyped this stock?
To: Barry R. (236 ) From: Dusty Friday, May 22 1998 1:59PM ET Reply # of 4141
Barry, Meyers probably has some of the common and preferred and is holding tightly. But, the warrants he could have bought for pennies and does not intend to exercise them so he is selling for a profit. In the long term it will make no difference. I think that is what GaBard is trying to convey? This stock is going to go nowhere but up so it is all a moot point. Dusty :o)

GaBard, I am not selling either. I have a dream that one day not only will the price be REAL high but we could see dividends! If you sell you don't have anything to draw a dividend on! I don't think this is too far fetched either. If a company is as pro- shareholder as Arcon Energy appears to be it is a given! Now, we could draw more in dividends than we actually paid for our shares, over the long haul... HOW SWEET IT IS! Gonna be long on this one for a LONG TIME! LOL Dusty :o)

I believe that this company APPREICATES it's shareholders. Especially the loyal long term investors; and felt rewarding them is a good way to keep them. Even though Gary knows not all those on this thread would cooperate and be a long term holder, he did his best to encourage it and rightly so. This small bit of wisdom escapes many investors. They just don't comprehend the rational behind it. But, if EVERYONE trades in and out on every dip and raise all you have is a yo yo stock that will end up on the trash heap with a bad name. This is fine for the dawgs of the dow so to speak. But, it you have a solid company, and do all you can to support it, in the end all shareholders benefit. JMO But, I happen to believe GaBard is 100% on target with this theory. Dusty :o) Patience rewards and greed kills, JMO

Kurt, JMO so take it for what it is worth. But, Anyone who waits till May 29 to purchase MIDLP could be too late. The settlement date (with cash in account) is the day following the actual purchase. Or at least this is the way it has been explained to me. I could be in error, but why take any chances;unless of course you are awaiting funds to transfer? I hope you make it :o) Dusty :o)

ROFL It is therefore a moot point at this point... I will say YOU definitely possess one quality that is RARE in today's world; [honesty] to a fault; in a take it or leave it style and that my friend is a "CLASS ACT." Dusty :o)

Gary, thanks for sharing the e-mail with all of us. I just finished reading the article and link put up by Stocks to Watch/arcon and I think another real issue here is that people cannot imagine the magnitude of this company or the product; let alone WORLD sales and patents! Therefore to others it comes across as HYPE. I have heard it from a zillion sources that I am hyping it... grin. People of little or NO VISION and UNDERSTANDING accuse others with it of hyping. LOL Isn't it amazing that so many people can read about this and still not believe it or understand it? I have noticed the same with other companies with threads on SI... Is it catching? ROFL They also appear to be the same folks who take great offense at hearing or understanding real "TRUTH." now that is interesting! ROFL Dusty :o)

Jeff and All, Jeff this is an excellent post on the newbies! I would like to add to your statement. To all new comer's you are welcome to share what has been posted take of it freely, but... don't start at the end and expect the rest of us long term investors to spoon feed you! Go to the very beginning of this thread and STUDY... Pay your dues and save your money on a phone bill it has ALL been covered! This is not a game on this thread. This is not Penny Trash and there is a lot of money on the table so if you are into game playing be advised it will not be tolerated here! If you motives are true and honest you will do your home work! If you are here to trash the stock, I suggest you move on because we will have anyone who tries for lunch! We have seen many who have come like a wolf in sheep's clothing trying to ply their craft of deception and doubt. It will not be tolerated on this thread... Just a word to the wise... If after reading this you are still interested in helping pull the wagon then read all the DD from beginning to end it is here and been done by competent researchers and long term investor's. Dusty :o)

What I am seeing and hope I am wrong but most likely not; the new comer's boarding the train after silently lurking for quite awhile, hoping to make a few fast bucks. That is okay too if that is all you want. Your trading in and out will make no difference in the grand scheme of things, but any who do trade in and out will IMHO end up the loser at this game. Not often in one's lifetime does a real company with potential come along. It is unnoticed by the majority because of lack of patience, vision and belief. These folks will develop 20/20 hindsight and become lifetime members of the I wish, I coulda, woulda and shoulda club. This is not hype or speculation, just facts. What position will each of us hold when this little company has flowered into full bloom? I will be there savoring the beauty and bounty of all she has to offer. I mentioned to a friend the other day that I was so long and strong on MIDL that my ass*ets squeaked when I walk... I have 2 main holdings and am just that strong on both! We have plucked the chicken down to the skin doing DD and I just don't have to see the bones to know this bird is the real Mc Coy! Dusty :o)

LOL I like several others have been in MIDL since way before Arcon Energy was even a gleam in anyone's eye. I have experienced first hand the joy of supporting the stock and watching it form the bud and now as it is beginning to come into full bloom. Going to be in for a lot longer too. Dusty :o)

Off Topic.. News Letter: Bob Frey Featuring MIDL Hi, Welcome to the many new members. Way undervalued? MIDLW MIDLW is the warrant for the MIDL common shares. They trade on the OTCBB just as the MIDL common do. It was announced on about the 18th of this month that the strike price would be lowered to $0.50 from $ 1.00. The warrants will expire in the year 2001. What this means is that for each MIDLW you own you will be able to buy a MIDL for $0.50. The MIDL common are trading @ $ 1.375 ask by $ 1.31 bid at the time of this writing. The MIDLW are trading at $0.53 ask by $ 0.50 bid. A quick check of the math and you will see that the MIDLW are way undervalued as compared to the MIDL. the MIDLW should be about $0.875 ask by $ 0.81 bid plus they should have a premium for the time you have to exercise the warrant. I have been buying the MIDLW. Do you want real time free news? We have set up several pages of automatically refreshing news. This is for Jeff H. and any others not clear on Settlement Dates! Stock Exchange Clearing and Settlement Rules Michael R. Littenberg Originally published in International Financial Law Review March 1, 1997 From November 1, 1996, the Ghana Stock Exchange adopted new rules establishing the Securities Clearing and Settlement House (SCSH), which serves as a centralized clearing and settlement facility for stock exchange trades. The SCSH is run on a day-to-day basis by the managing director of the stock exchange. Policy for the SCSH is set by the Stock Exchange Council. All licensed dealing members of the stock exchange and all registrars of listed securities on the stock exchange must be members of the SCSH. Custodians and other institutions can also be admitted as SCSH members by the Council. Sections 4 to 6 of the new clearing and settlement rules regulate admission to the SCSH, resignation from the SCSH and termination of SCSH membership. In addition to establishing the SCSH, the new clearing and settlement rules significantly reduce the settlement period for securities transactions on the stock exchange. The rules adopt a T+5 settlement period. Previously, trades on the stock exchange were settled on a T+10 basis. The new clearing and settlement rules, together with Schedule I, adopted at the same time as the rules, also regulate participation in the clearing and settlement process by representatives of SCSH members, documentation requirements in connection with clearing and settlement and the timing of various aspects of the clearing and settlement process. In addition, the rules lay down penalties for failures to satisfy clearing and settlement obligations. Using a SEARCH tool will get you anything you want! This is an excellent one! inference.com Dusty :o)

Islander, That is what my broker told me. They can not use them unless you sign a document allowing them the use of the stock and then they have to pay you. I don't understand all the dynamics but when held in a cash account they can not be shorted out of your account without your express permission. Having said that we all know in the real world "stuff" happens! So I cover my bases and request my Certificates on most all my holdings;always on my long term holds. I can tell you my MIDL common are not accessible to any trader I hold them in MY hot little hands. As soon as I have been credited with my "dividend" freebies, I will be taking possession of all my preferred stock as well. I have no intention of selling for a very long time and since the jury is not in on the Y2K scenario, I chose to hold my Certificates myself. I have not found any brokerage willing to furnish me with a statement on their letterhead that they are Y2K compliant. So I don't worry about anyone using or abusing my stock holdings. LOL Better safe than sorry ... :o) Dusty :o)
To: Ga Bard (1161 ) From: Dusty Wednesday, May 27 1998 5:17PM ET Reply # of 4141
Guess it would be too simple minded to just consider the fact that perhaps the company is not "hurting" for money. That they place a high value on their faithful shareholders and wanted to reward them for their support. Thus the reduction in the cost of converting the warrants and some free preferred stock. I would say by their actions this is more than a possibility. Nah, I must be imagining things here... LOL Dusty :o)

To sell the "P" or even try to is insane! You can not sell "FREEBIE" yet. Or that was my take on it. If you sell, it is no longer in your account and the way I see it; no freebies shares.
