SOFN quietly raised gross proceeds of $132.0 MM from the sale of 4.0 MM shares on Friday. Per their S-3/A: "We seek to become the dominant cable-based provider of high-speed Internet access and other Internet-related services to homes and businesses in the franchise areas of those cable systems unaffiliated with the seven largest U.S. cable operators and certain other smaller systems." They now have the funds to give it a shot. Alex Brown, Robertson Stephens and CIBC Oppenheimer did the deal. I don't think that any analysts have been covering this stock. The normal quiet period rules do not apply and I would expect coverage to begin as early as Monday.
