Hi Judy,

Do you have your wine nearby for next week? We should see a nice early rebound, or more like a dead-cat bounce, in most techs, especially the slaughtered networkers. Went long a chunk of COMS and USRX for a trade with seconds left until close on Fri. They are extremely oversold, though I would like to see a little more panic before establishing a longer term position. Which expiration month for the puts were you looking at for the synthetics on CS,CSCO, and COMS?

On DDIM, the short interest you were looking for is quickly building. Take a look at the posts on the DDIM thread lately. I'll post the current short interest for you sometime this week. I traded it a couple of times on Fri. but left the day flat. Will establish a position very soon. I'll let you know when.

Some non-tech stocks that I have been trading/investing in lately include: PGA,ESOL,KM,MIR,MO,DANB,CHIR,SEPR,GASIA,EGRP,AMGN, and OXHP.

I do not follow the wireless sector very closely. I once held a large position in QCOM in my IRA but regretfully sold a big portion of it before the recent runup. Such is life. QCOM is a very well-managed company with a bright future as well as a great trading stock. My friends in SD tell me they are still hiring hoards of engineers every month. The joint venture with SONY is turning profitable and OMNItracs are selling like hotcakes. Licensing and royalty revenues are also adding up quickly. Eudora may be a much more valuable asset than most people think once they incorporate it into a phone. Much of the world has already heavily invested in TDMA technology, so it may be difficult for QCOM to penetrate certain foreign markets. I like the company very much but am reluctant to take a large position at current prices.

The gallium-arsenide semis are holding up pretty well lately. I've been trading TQNT. Which stocks in the wireless sector look good to you? Thanks for your thoughts.

Also, would you consider ADI,ATML,and KLAC strong semis? They look good to me.

Do you feel inflation is a serious threat or are you looking at gold on a strictly technical basis? I think the long bond will stay in a trading range between 6.25-7% and I have yet to see any real signs of inflation other than avg wages. I wonder how long can wages rise as sales slow down and prices fall? A $.59 Big Mac, need I say more?

Sorry to barrage you with so many questions on a Sunday. Thanks again.

Take care,

Angel
