"A turnover of the Mobutu government would be a positive development" sounds either like our boy is well connected with the rebel's de facto leadership or a complete and total pipe dream - I'm guessing the latter. Political instability is almost never a positive development. What makes him thinks the rebels will let them keep their arrangement? Contracts? Land? Who's to say the rebels won't demand an additional 10 million just to stay there? The warrants aren't moving this price...the rebels are.

Political instability may be good from an investor's standpoint - i.e., it allows us a good entry point or an opportunity to average down - however, averaging down only works as a theory if the price eventually returns to greater levels. I like this stock and like it even more right now since it's been beaten down from about $3 over the last couple weeks - however, if fighting intensifies there is no reason why this stock won't go down to $2 and if the rebels succeed, no reason it won't go down to pennies if the rebels don't play ball.
