Jeff, with all due respect;trade logs do not prove or disprove how someone comes into possession of all their securities. For instance, take a hypothetical scenario:

John Doe, is gifted stock by his favorite uncle in APEX,BOOO,OOOX and sends in his certificates to a brokerage firm to open his account. The broker has no idea how he came by the securities and does not care as long as it is signed off by his uncle and signed by John Doe. The securities will be placed in an account as directed by Mr. Doe. Mr. Doe is then free to trade it.

The stock goes up and Doe decides to sell some or all of his free stock. The money from the free stock can now be used to purchase additional securities of his choosing. Say, he decides to buy some XYZ; it will show up as a purchase. But, did John Doe really pay for the stock?

Regards,

Dusty
