MDA - Market Direction Analysis - Jim,

Really neat! Thanks for that link.

You know what is really a hoot... you giving up stock picking and me giving up index investing! While I try to forecast the index direction... I am working on identifying the stocks changing from response trading to translation. I think I have that right! Response trading is when a stock moves about a central point... the point can be moving from day to day in a slight trend but it doesn't move far from it. Translation trading situations are the one-way tickets which may have very slight response situations but predominately the stock is moving in one direction and very strongly.

Boeing was one such stock recently and I made 4x my $$ on it accidently. A "gift." Had I my wits about me, it was a 50x trade! I know trades like that are few and far between but they certainly help the trading account when you hit one.

Now if I can only identify one in advance!

Bill
