Mike: Would agree that you (meaning we) never know. My rationale was "what would happen to existing customers?" and they have always looked at continuing with TDMA...hence the logic is EDGE/IS-136 HS.

Recent TDMA meeting in Miami also mentioned EDGE Compact, I had previously called it EDGE Lite, for operators in the 800MHz band. The solution would provide up to 200 and something plus kbps...how much do you need anyway? -The talk of 1.5Mbps to 2Mbps is mainly bull, as this would only really be achieved in "closed/in-door" environments (why have that when you could have 20-30Mbps with WLAN).

Oh well, we live in a strange world in strange times...
