Dennis, while I am sure that there were folks who shorted in front of the news reports, I doubt that was the specific purpose. I'm also certain that the lawsuits were just opportunistic. They pop up just as quickly on other stocks that have taken a tumble.

I do not require court proceedings to prove that which is obvious to me. The reason that I sold out of this stock was because Par mislead folks in the 12/97 conference call about the reason for the increase in authorized shares. Par also promised that there would be no more junk equity financing previous to the issuance of the 5/98 floorless. The share count has increased to almost 27 million presplit shares, a 35% increase over where Par promised there would be no more dilution. If you place no value on the 7/1/98 announcement you were a rare bird. A review of the postings around that time found the longs most excited about it, and posting pie in the sky projections. Were you around for the USPS/MCI pie in the sky in 1997? Nothing ever came of that one either. It was the same MO as the 7/1/98 release, IMO.I do not assume that everything the company does is deceptive. However, I do require proof that their claims are true, since so many have never come to fruition in the past.

Calling a conspiracy theory idiotic is different that calling someone an idiot. But perhaps you just wanted an excuse to launch an irrelevant personal attack.
