Well - what x86 programs can run on an existing Alpha machine faster than on a 450 MHz Pentium II, for example ?

The comment I responded to was "FASTER than any ALpha can do them!" I expect that a 1GHz 21264, due to sample in a few months, will run recompiled x86 code very competitively- besides the blazing native Alpha performance.
