TERAGLOBAL Appoints William O. McCoy to the Board of Directors
San Diego, California: TeraGlobal Communications Corp. (TGCC) announced today that Mr. William O. (Bill) McCoy has been appointed to the Board of Directors. McCoy is bringing with him over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. McCoy was appointed Chief Financial Officer-designate of BellSouth Corporation in May 1982, responsible for the planning activities of the soon-to-be-formed corporation. In October 1983, he was elected Vice Chairman of BellSouth and on January 1, 1986, President of BellSouth Enterprises, Inc. In 1995, he was appointed the Vice President-Finance of the University of North Carolina-General Administration and most recently was appointed acting chancellor. McCoy received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a master's degree in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Sloan Fellow. McCoy's extensive involvement in community activities include serving as chairman of the Southern Center for International Studies and as a member of the boards of trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center and Egleston Children's Hospital at Emory University.
