aleta,

Sorry for the late response. What a wonderful outcome for your child. And you are exactly right about the school administrators and teachers. I received the same response.

I noticed a report on GMA this morning about one of the victims named "Cassie", forgive me but I don't remember her last name. Anyway, her parents were interviewed and they told the story of how Cassie just a couple of years before was becoming alienated and was getting involved with anti-social behavior. These parents did not take this sitting down. They did everything in their power to turn their daughter around and in their case, relied on their religious faith and church involvement. Apparently the girl had a completely life changing experience and you could see from the photos they were showing the remarkable change in her. She is the one who was asked if "she believed in God" She said yes, I believe, and was shot and killed. The victim of displaced aggression, someone who was yes, martyred for her faith. As far as I am concerned, this whole tragedy boils down to the simple, basic dynamic of a wounded heart and soul and the violent outcome. We should be asking why and what happened within these boys that turned them into vicious killers.
