(COMTEX) B: ROLLERBALL.COM ADDS NEW ON-LINE STORE TO ITS WEB SITE B: ROLLERBALL.COM ADDS NEW ON-LINE STORE TO ITS WEB SITE Company Launches 'RollerBall Sports On-Line' Shoppers Can Securely Buy Skates & Accessories Directly on Web Site 345,000 Hits to Web Site in Q1 LOS ANGELES, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- RollerBall International Inc. (Nasdaq: ROLL) announced today it has launched its Web-site on-line store, RollerBall Sports On-Line, as an addition to its corporate Web-site www.rollerball.com. The site features all of the Company's skates and accessories available for immediate shipment from its Los Angeles-based warehouse and will provide a convenient method for shoppers to buy RollerBall products via secure credit card ordering direct from the Web-site. The Company plans to expand its on-line catalog beyond its unique skates and skating accessories with RollerBall branded apparel and sporting goods accessories as well as licensed merchandise in a broad category range. "We are making significant increases in our domestic retail distribution, with our recent additions of more Champs, Sport Chalet and Dunham's stores," said Jack Forcelledo, CEO and President of RollerBall International. "For the convenience of those looking for our products at the retail level, we continue to provide fresh updates to our easily searched Web pages that gives the locations of selling dealers nationwide." "We still get a tremendous number of calls via our toll-free number, 888-ROLLER-8, asking how to buy our skates if there are no retail locations nearby. RollerBall Sports On-Line is our solution to this problem with its shopping cart format, secure credit card ordering and immediate domestic and international shipping." In response to press announcements last week about shopping cart security concerns, the Company has verified with its Web-site host provider, ValueWeb, a subsidiary of E.spire Inc., that Miva Merchant, the shopping card commerce package that they provide, is correctly installed on the Company's secure server. "All of our shoppers' personal and credit card data is stored in encrypted file format and always stays on the secure part of the Company's Web-site," said Arthur Baker, RollerBall's VP in charge of the Web-site. "This data is accessible only by the Company via confidential password-protected access. We certainly understand why some people might be concerned about shopping via the Internet. That is why we reconfirmed that our shopping cart and our shoppers' personal information is secure." In addition, the Company reaffirms its plan to incorporate a password protected business-to-business E-commerce section to the current Internet site which is expected to be operational in Q2 of this year. This section will allow dealers an easy, Web-based method for order processing and for tracking shipments. This New Dealer section will be an innovative way for retailers to utilize the upcoming E-commerce capabilities being designed into the site. This will feature a major new selling program that will facilitate the ability of the participating dealers to sell a wide selection of the Company's product line. Currently staged for initial dealer testing, this program is also expected to be announced in Q2. The Company manufactures and markets the patented RollerBall(R) inline skate which uses spherically-shaped wheels instead of the traditional disc- shaped wheels, providing the consumer unparalleled balance, stability, control and maneuverability. The Company's inline skates are currently available at retail outlets nationwide including selected Jumbo Sports, Dunham's, MVP Sports and G.I. Joe's. RollerBall skates are also sold at Champs, Sport Chalet and JCPenney catalog sales as well as through Home Shopping Network and FIT-TV and are available from the Internet outlets FIT-TV.com, Shopping.com and RollerBall Sports On-Line, a new feature of the Company's Web site www.Rollerball.com.
