Gary, those ARE all storage companies, but most are what I'd call storage component companies. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. My gripe is that EMC is thrown in with these storage component companies, like Seagate, Quantum and Western Digital. All very necessary companies, but their products are just a subset of EMC's. EMC takes their kind of product and builds it in with intelligent controllers, software and lots of RAS features to make a high end, high margin, highly reliable storage system.
The companies in that list that most closely resemble EMC are STK and NTAP. STK has fallen a lot; NTAP has been hot, like EMC. NTAP's PE, I notice is ~ 2X EMC's. So, not many real peer companies to EMC (of course, IBM is, but they're very diversified).
