Geac Continues Executive Transition
MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 1999--(TSE:GAC. - news) Geac Computer Corporation Limited today announced the continued execution of its orderly succession plan in support of the recently announced appointment of Mr. Douglas G. Bergeron as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of the corporation, effective today.

William Nelson, former President and Chief Executive Officer, will continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Stephen J. Sadler, former Vice Chairman, will begin a phasing out of responsibilities and will be leaving the company effective May 31, 1999.

Mr. Nelson said: ''These changes are part of the orderly transition of responsibilities that began two months ago with the appointment of John Lanaway as Chief Financial Officer, and most recently with the appointment of Doug Bergeron as President and CEO.
