What are the current competitors to PRK? Are there any new technologies looming on the horizon that might be a threat to PRK (and VISX in particular)? The way I see it, PRK is the only procedure that is non-invasive (no cutting, as in RK which I know about). If I were a patient, that would be a big factor. Does anyone have any info on Keravision? They are going through FDA trials now for their Intraocular Ring which allows reversal of the procedure by removing the ring. It doesn't look as promising as PRK to me... any other opinions? Thanks. - W.
