Ironically there appears to be a direct correlation between the rise in the amount of gun control laws, and the incidence of deaths and injuries, associated with what the govt. is attempting to control.

The two phenomena occurred at approximately the same time. This does not mean that one caused the other. One could as easily, and more cogently, argue that the rise in violent crime caused the expansion of gun control legislation. You choose the opposite view because it conforms to your prejudice. Please do not pretend that logic is involved.

I am no great believer in gun control, but sloppy thinking makes me want to shoot someone. Fortunately I have a fair degree of self-control, as I would quickly run out of ammunition.

Living proof that religion rots the brain.
