NOTE: Rollout of Amati to Pad 39A was halted today at about 8:25 a.m. when observers heard a "loud bang" and found USRX payload had moved from it's stored position in the Shuttle Bay. Engineers said the USRX payload has now been stowed in place by COMS, and no holds were planned to re -maneuver USRX back to it's previous position. CSCO payload has not been damaged or disturbed .

MISSION: STS-AMTX -- CISCO ADSL/DMT DEPLOYMENT & SERVICING MISSION VEHICLE: Amati/OV-8 LOCATION: Pad 39A LAUNCH DATE/TIME: March 3 at 12:00 p.m. LAUNCH WINDOW: 120 minutes MISSION DURATION: 4 days, 16 hours, 5 minutes CREW: Cioffi, Steenburgen, Carlini, Gibbons,
NOTE: Amati arrived at Pad 39A late Friday afternoon and was hard down at about 5:05 p.m. Engineering analysis indicated that there were no concerns for the USRX weight bearing structure on the COMS. Additional measurements taken at the pad indicate the CSCO is structurally sound.

MISSION: STS-AMTX -- CISCO ADSL/DMT DEPLOYMENT & SERVICING MISSION
VEHICLE: Amati/OV-8 LOCATION: Pad 39A LAUNCH DATE/TIME: March 3 at 12:00 p.m. LAUNCH WINDOW: 120 minutes MISSION DURATION: 4 days, 16 hours, 5 minutes CREW: Cioffi, Steenburgen, Carlini, Gibbons,
The astronauts will begin boarding Amati at approximately 10 a.m. Monday morning and the hatch will be closed for flight at about 10:59a.m.
NOTE: The countdown for launch of Amati continues on schedule for liftoff on Monday, Mar. 03. The 120-minute window opens at about 12pm. The exact window will be announced a few hours before launch and adjusted at the T-9 minute hold based on the final computation of the Goldman Sachs announcement. Should launch slip to Wednesday, the launch window would be 11 a.m. - 3:00p.m.
This morning the countdown clocks will begin ticking at 9a.m. with main engine ignition at 12:00 p.m.. The launch window is open for 1hr. 20 min.
If Amati launches when the window opens at 12 p.m. CSCO will be deployed upon reaching orbit. Once Deployed the New CSCO Networking Satellite, will be serviced by payload specialist Steenburgen, out fitting CSCO with new state-of-the-art ADSL/DMT Technology. This new upgrade, is so new, it was delivered to KSC just hours before final launch preparations began. It is especially noteworthy that the Shuttle Amati and her crew will be outfitting CSCO, with this latest ADSL/DMT Technology upgrade, which will carry CSCO well into the 21st century. Future upgrades will then be sent to CSCO from a ground based station in San Jose, CA.
CSCO must first be deployed and its TAG Solar Panels extended. CSCO will be re-captured by Amati's robot arm at 1 a.m. EST on Monday, March 3. At 2pm Steenburgen will insert the ADSL/DMT upgrade into CSCO. Astronauts on Amati's STS-25 mission will significantly upgrade the networking capabilities of the CSCO, allowing CSCO to be the largest self-contained Networking Satellite.
This is a dual deployment & servicing mission, with USRX being deployed on 2/05/97.

The above is a factious STS mission. Any relationship to the real world is pure coincidence. Thanks to all who keep this board up to date this week. A Tip Of The Hat to Pat for the excellent coverage of Roberts, Stevenson Conference. Only from Amati Investors can you get coverage this good.
Thanks Pat. JW |
