GREAT WHITE MARINE ANNOUNCES 1ST QUARTER RESULTS
Sales Up 21% and Net Income Up 35%
WACO, Texas, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Great White Marine & Recreation, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: JAWS) announced today its 1999 First Quarter results. Sales for the period ending March 31st were $6,465,557 as compared to $5,348,764 for the same period in 1998 ... a 21% increase. Net Income for the period was $969,359 as compared to $720,077 ... an increase of 35%. Commenting on the company's first quarter performance, Great White President & CEO, Colin Smith stated, "We are pleased with our financial results and particularly with goals we've set out to accomplish in the first quarter. During the quarter, we obtained a credit facility from Mercedes Benz Leasing de Mexico, added new boat & yacht lines, brought on Billy Harvey as a new Director, added a warehouse & in-house custom broker in Laredo, Texas, and lastly our dealer count has increased significantly this past quarter throughout Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Traditionally our first quarter is our weakest, and we are pleased with the progress we are making in many aspects of our business which I think will have a positive impact on earnings for the remainder of 1999."
