Well, since there are thousands of institutions and individual investors on the demand side of the rope pulling, there are a lot of different reasons.

1. Some are momentum players.
2. Some people have a very long time horizon and believe Amazon has an edge that they will be able to keep for a long time.
3. The market is awash in liquidity.
4. Some are pm's that have to participate (or answer to shareholders and bosses) in the internet "play" and believe that large visible names are the best way to do that.
5. Some people have growth models that show huge profitability in the long run and that now, amzn is investing profits it could be recognizing in "brand equity".
6. Some people believe it has a good technical pattern.
7. Some people have made a lot of money in amzn and are in love with the stock.

I'm not saying I agree with any of the above...but different folks have different models. That's what makes a market. What is logic to one person may not make sense to another. But if you are asking what those people hold as logical, there are a few answers up there in the list.
