It really doesn't affect AMD at all. They shipped all they could make. What did happen is that Intel sold a bunch of Celerons a lot cheaper than they had too because they didn't know about AMDs process problem.
Really can't blame Intel. They probably did gain back some lost market share. All of it? I doubt it. AMD has likely started to gain some of their lost ground back in the last month.
Just seems like this Otellini character is under pressure to keep a nice spin on things and keep his job.
The more I think about it, the whitney is a nice plus for Intel.
The large boxmakers will like it, for a while. They PC price bar will be lowered and their margins end up about the same. Might hurt AMD some.
