The stock has been holding up quite well in front of earnings. Dick Brown will have a golden opportunity on Thursday to get Wall Street on his side. I hope he can allay their fears and turn in some decent numbers to boot. I believe we will get several quarters of grace if they view his strategic plan as viable. As far as layoffs are concerned, EDS always has to guard against overhead creep. It is the easiest thing to do and as it becomes entrenched managers will defend it. It sometimes takes a heavy hand.
