Look at the trades today. A jillion of them crossed, mostly 100 - 200 shares

That might not mean that all orders are for 100-200 shares. In volatile times, the bid/ask sizes shrink. So, if someone puts in an order for 2000 shares, their execution might show 10 trades of 200 shares each (at all different prices if it's a market order and the prices are changing fast!)
