nasdaq777...<ot>on line versus full service...

agree completely....full service firm with your own "personal" broker, is essential if you want to sleep at night...your broker works for you, protects your interests, for you feed his family with your transactions....he wants no harm to come to you...case in point, just opened up a secondary experimental portfolio for options purposes...broker came to the office, filled out the paperwork, took my check, and bought me lunch....(after he took my check)...30k cash enough to sell puts..most online require 100k....most full service brokers have discounted rates..of course none as low as online....only takes once for an on-line broker to sell you out on a margin call...to realize what those five dollar commissions..don't buy....thanks your comments, ed a.
