Philips is suppling the Settops for MediaOne. Divicom, Philip's partner, is building the Headend. Philip boxes will be used in Germany. These boxes all use C-Cubes chips.

The UPC boxes will use different software. As far as hardware? Maybe not the MicroSparc chip, but the rest of AViA@TV is availible without it.

It's interesting that Divicom is doing Philip's headend in the US. One might guess that some Divicom equipment might be found in the UPC headends. It could be good news for C-Cube, but it's still early.
