Excellent conclusion. As further evidence that Intel would not try to get into the storage business for this venture (which I never for a nanosecond believed), it came out this weekend that Intel said they would buy the servers from other companies. Now, servers are something that Intel can, and have, built in the past, including quite powerful ones. Apparently, though, they don't want to tick off the Compaqs, Dells and IBMs of the world, who are in the business of selling servers, and are their best customers. Now, if they don't build something in which they have perfect knowhow, why would they go after something in which they know little?
