hi tonto, you're welcome. i hope that worked. btw, after you delete all email messages in communicator, they wind up in your trash folder. fortunately you can 86 that en masse too. open your trash folder, click on file, click on 'empty trash on local mail'. doing that gets rid of all trash and then compacts the folder. ufaq.org help.netscape.com :) mark
