as i recall, you have win95 at work and win98 at home, correct? well, fwiw, there is no 'tools' selection after clicking 'system tools' in win95. i know pw advised you regarding win98.

could that be where the mix up is occurring?

other than that, i already gave you what i've got on the java prob. which wasn't too much. :(
