Oh, what the heck - I'll discuss a point or 2 at a time.

Did anyone pick up on Noam's switching fabric (backplane capacity)
comparison for Aranea 1 (note that "1" implies a "2" and a "3")?

Noam said they are "well ahead of competition" and will offer the
"highest port density per rack space in the industry". This is VERY
significant - and reminds me of ASND's situation over CSCO with the
GX-550 ATM WAN switch 20 months ago - and then the contracts started
rolling in 6 months later.

Here it is:

Charlotte's Web: 128 GB/s (and will cluster at least 4 boxes)

Avici 100 GB/s

LU 64 GB/s

Juniper 40 GB/s

Argon 20 GB/s (recently bought by Siemans for 230M)

This should show how silly roktar's comments about teams of Engineers
at competitors working to steal MRV's technology lead (implying in
only a few months) is. They don't even have their current technology
out yet. This is an 12-15 month lead, I would guess - enough time to
win some significant carrier contracts.
