Well it's good to hear that there are more cable telephony projects up and running than I thought there were. Gives me more confidence AT&T will follow-thru on all their cable plant investments.

I'm hoping there won't be a big debate over, deployment of POTS over cable now vs. waiting for VoIP. At this point, in listening to Armstrong's messages, he never indicated he wanted to wait. And my guess is, it will be at least 4 years before VoIP spending even begins Although Cisco leads us to believe it's here now. I think the data networkers hype up VoIP a little too much (IMHO).

Frank they also mentioned (in the little CNBC conference) that T keeps changing the figures on the costs of the upgrades to TCOMA's infrastructure. As they go in they find more and more work is needed. But the more horrible it is, the better for last mile HFC investors <G>.
