Consolidation has already occured ... if you are talking about PC audio industry, that is. Look at the graphics chip market. There are still many players there even though Intel should theoretically have a better chance of engulfing it given the digital nature of graphics. In PC audio, it is now Creative and everyone else. Then again, perhaps you are talking about the consumer audio market... which is quite different. There too I doubt there is much consolidation. Which industry are you talking about ? Frankly, I'm not even sure Creative knows exactly what industry they are getting into ... They are dangerously unfocussed at the moment and needs to get their direction crystallized quick time. The "Personal Digital Entertainment" arena is a little too lose a definition for my liking.
