TECK TO BUY GNU TREASURY ISSUE (Bigdude speculation)

Following my review of the financial statements of GNU, I conclude that although GNU has $6.8 million in cash, their accounts payable and debt due this year total $8.4 million. GNU is not as liquid as they portray in their "we have $6.8 million in the bank" comments.

Rumours are that GNU is in discussions with Teck and when combined with their cash needs, a treasury issue is obviously a highly likely outcome. GNU also needs a major like Teck because the guys at Ashanti are really mean and nasty dudes and they might pull a Hasan, if GNU does not have the clout of a major mining company behind them. Ashanti is in-part owned by the government of Ghana and the Chairman of Ashanti is the acting mines minister of Ghana.

Kudos to Harper if he pulls this one off.
