"The U.S. District Court judge in the case, Thomas Penfield Jackson, may have chilled settlement talks when he announced March 31 that he would issue findings of facts before deciding whether Microsoft had violated antitrust laws.

Jackson's announcement of that procedure ''takes the pressure off them settling sooner,'' Whyman said. ''If you're Microsoft, you have no reason to settle until you have damaging findings of fact.''

- I think the Repubs are going to cut the legs out from under the sick, lying, Clintonistas at the Justice Dept before long.
